 AGE RESTRICTIONS AND MINOR POLICY AT TEXAS GUN CLUB

  • Minors under the age of seven (7) are not allowed on a live-fire range.

(We will plan events and training from time to time appropriate for this age level - please ask a team member for more information.)

  • Minors, 7-10 years of age (at least seven (7) years of age and not yet eleven (11) years of age) MUST be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian in order to enter and/or participate in a live fire shooting range.
  • Minors ages 10 - 17 (at least 11 years of age and not yet 18 years of age) may be accompanied by any responsible adult so long as the parent or legal guardian has signed the Texas Gun Club Waiver of Liability for the minor, which includes an emergency authorization for medical treatment and the responsible adult is:
    • At least 21 years of age or older, and
    • Identified in writing by the legal parent or guardian, and
    • Not a "prohibited person", as the term pertains to legal possession of firearms
  • Guest must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to rent any firearm or rent a shooting lane unless the guest is an Active Duty Military Member and at least 18 years of age. (Active Duty Identification is required)
  • A guest who is the 'age of majority', (at least 18 years of age) may accompany any responsible adult and MUST sign their own waiver so long as the responsible adult is:
    • At least 21 years of age or older, and
    • Not a "prohibited person", as the term pertains to legal possession of firearms
  • The parent, legal guardian or responsible adult shall act as a coach, and MUST remain with the minor(s) at all times while the minor(s) is utilizes the range.
